Bible Repair Questions

You can have up to four new ribbons placed on your Bible depending on the width of the spine.

Flyleaves are those blank pages that are at the front and back of your Bible. Flyleaves are used to glue the tabs of the new leather cover to, so the leather cover isn’t glued to the actual pages with text. Flyleaves can be disposable if the Bible would ever need to be taken apart again, and the cover can be removed without damaging the pages with text on them. They can also serve as a little protection for the first few pages that have text on them.

Flyleaves are blank pages, where you can also write on them and take notes or write you favorite Bible verses for later reference. You could even draw on them and use them to create art if you wanted to.

The Bible repair portion includes:

  • Fly Leafs sewn/glued in place
  • Spine cleared of old glue and built back up
  • Choose up to four new ribbons depending on size of Bible
  • New end pages
  • Wrinkled pages and dog eared corners ironed

If this ever happens, please contact me and let me know. It might be a configuration on the backend that needs to be adjusted. I would first make sure that the method of payment isn’t being denied for some reason. If the funds are there, but the payement isn’t going through, please let me know and I check things out from my end.

If this happens to be the case, please add yourself to the waitlist and when I add more stock, I will send you an email so you can put your order through.

When either of the items in the shop show out of stock, it just means that I have Bibles that are currently being worked on and have to finish some before I can take more orders to repair Bibles.

Also, make sure to add my email address – chad@graceunboundbindery.com – to your allow list to make sure the notification email doesn’t go to the spam folder and you miss it.

Unfortunately, this is a possibility. When you mail your Bible to me, you can purchase insurance through the Post Office along with the option of a tracking number.

When I mail your Bible back to you, I will have a tracking number that I can send to you so you can keep an eye on the arrival day and progress as it travels back to you.

If it were to happen that your Bible is lost in the mail, please let me know as well. I always pray that that doesn’t happen.
