I hope this post finds everyone well and healthy. If you are going through a season of trials or challenges, or struggles, always remember that God is carrying you through. That is why you are only seeing one set of footprints in the sand. It often seems like we struggle alone, but we don’t. Should we ask, God is carrying us through, the Holy Spirit is with us and our Guardian Angels are walking right beside us. God loves us so much, and we can see that through what Jesus taught and did while on this earth. Matthew chapters 5-10 is a great example of that.
I haven’t posted for about a week or so and thought I should. I have been working on a clients Bible and while hot stamping gold foil on the cover, it turned out crooked. I took time, to make sure the cover was straight, i took time to measure everything and yet it turned out crooked. I even prayed before doing the hot stamping. God has answered my prayer. Eric from EB Bibles has been helping me and giving me advise on how to approach some of the repairs and making the Bible covers. Eric has been a huge blessing and I appreciate all of his help and advise.
I asked the client if it was OK to keep his Bible longer than planned so I could make a new cover, and re-stamp it, so it looks the way that it should. The client was fine with me keep his Bible longer. He would have taken it with the “Holy Bible” across the front being crooked, but I wasn’t satisfied or happy with the outcome of the stamping. So I am redoing his cover.
My approach that I am going to use this time, is to do all of the measuring with a ruler. I am also going to use painters tape to mark around the area where the stamp should press down on the cover. I will do this for the front of the cover, the spine and the clients name on the cover. With this approach I am hoping that the outcome will be the desired effect that I want for the final product.
